HOW TO MAKE A GOOD TULIP 🌷

Image
Now that you've learned how to make the classic rosetta 🌿 and heart ♥️on top of a latte, let's talk about another popular design: The tulip🌷. A variation on the simple heart design, the tulip has become a favorite not only in latte-art competitions (yes, that's a real thing), but also as an elegant flourish atop cappuccinos, in which it's often difficult to pour a more delicate rosetta. The basic principles are roughly the same as for any latte-decoration: You'll need to start with a base of expertly steamed, microfoamed milk, as well as a sturdy and well-pulled espresso shot with a thick head of crema. The milk and coffee really are key—pouring a beautiful design with subpar ingredients is the latte equivalent of putting lipstick on a pig, so be sure to make the drink as delicious as it is beautiful. Some Arabica is also grown in different highland areas of the country, most notably on the slopes of Mount Elgon on the border with Kenya and on the slopes of the Mount Rwenzori, popularly known as the ‘mountains of the moon’ on the border with the Democratic Republic of the Congo. Some Arabica coffee is also grown in the West Nile region in north western part of the country. Whilst the economy as a whole has expanded and improved in recent years, coffee remains of vital importance, earning on average just short of 60% of annual export revenues during the period 1996 to 2000. HOW DO YOU MAKE GOOD COFFEE ☕ 🌱

the right coffee & roast Did you know there are over 800 tasting notes and potential flavors found naturally in coffee? The different roast levels of coffee greatly impact what tasting notes you’ll be able to discover in the coffee you choose. Like fruity, berry, or tea-like flavors in your coffee... you should probably stick to the lighter roasts. More of a bold, smokey, whiskey flavor lover? You probably should stick to the darker side of the roast spectrum. In the middle (medium roasts) you’ll find a healthy dose of chocolate notes and a mix of everything in between. Freshness is also SUPER important. That’s why we roast all of our coffees to order (roasted and shipped) within 24 hours of an order. click here
